The goal of this project was creating sustainable primary and secondary packaging for a collection of products that relate to one another. These products would be ordered online by the consumer on a regular basis. The packaging could not include any glue or tape in its assembly, and had to be a represent a box form that would be suitable for mailing. Lastly, product branding needed to be consistent and recognizable throughout every element of the mailer package.
SOLUTION
My final design includes both primary and secondary packaging for the wax components that is custom to their size and application. The closed box is about 7 in x 2.75 in x 3.75 in, capable of fitting in most glove boxes and being easily handheld and transportable. Upon opening the box, the consumer finds a small flyer that provides steps to be taken before applying the wax, as well as pattern suggestions for application. It is a two-color design which uses bright colors that create a fun, tropical aesthetic. The box requires no tape or glue to assemble, and can be reused as a portable container for the waxes.
